DELIGHTFUL DAFFODILS

Good morning, friends. I spent most of yesterday "playing" with my scrapbooking buddies at our clubhouse. Well, we started out scrapbooking and it has morphed into cardmaking.

Our original group started about nine years ago. We found a local Creative Memories consultant and she took our scrapbooking to a whole other level. Then....she felt she wasn't challenged enough, so about a year and a half later she became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. We told her that we were not getting into that; we had enough invested in Creative Memories. Well, let me tell you, we are all stampers now and loving it. (Thanks, Debbye, you are the greatest.)

Some of us have started coloring with the copic markers, but we still use our Stampin' Up markers as well. Today's card is colored with my copics and the stamp was borrowed from a friend. I hope you like the card and that you all have a wonderful day.

MISTAKES

It's a another lovely day in the neighborhood, folks. As I look out the window in front of my computer I see the most lovely amaryllis. Spring flowers are blooming everywhere!

I've used the same stamp before on the card I'm posting today. Here's the story behind the post. (Keep in mind that I am NOT blonde, but maybe some white counts?)

When I colored this image the first time, I colored the "ponytails" a bluish color because, now here's the laugh, I thought they were wings! Yes, that's right, wings! My darling daughter pointed out to me that it was hair, not wings. How I laughed. (I'm still chuckling over it.) Of course, thinking about it I KNOW that wings come from the back, not the head. Here's the first card once again.

Anyway, here's the image colored correctly this time. I hope you like it. Have a great day and see you soon.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Hi everyone! It's been a spell since I posted. I had good intentions, but just didn't get "around to it" or "a round tuit". But here I am this lovely morning.

I've been busy putting some cards together after all of the coloring that I've done. It's soooo easy to just sit and color, but now it's time to get busy.

The card today is one of my all time favorites! (But then, most of them are, ;-). In fact, the layout was my own creation. (I'm not very good with designs and use a lot of different blog challenges.) So I'm especially proud of this one.

I have quite a few cards ready to post, so I'll try to keep up with postings, but you know how it goes. Promises, promises.

Hope you all are enjoying this spring weather and I hope you enjoy this card. See ya'll later.

CRUISE IS OVER

Hello, fellow stampers. I returned from a "Red Hat" cruise a week ago. It took a week to get rested and back to normal. I caught a cold, but it was just a small one and am over that now. And pretty much rested up.

Each cruise has a theme and this one was "Rock 'n' Roll. This was my fourth Red Hat cruise and a great time was had by all that attended.

There were a few competitions, as usual, on this cruise. One was for best hat, one for best costume and one for door decoration. My "roomy" and I took 3rd prize for our door. We had a blast designing and putting it together. What do you think???

We had thought of buying some old "45" records, but ended up making them using some black glitter cardstock. We were very pleased with the results.

We went on the Carnival Dream. My goodness, but that's a large ship. We figured that it's almost a 1/4 mile from end to end, and our room as waaayyyy in the back. Plenty of exercise!

Now that I'm back and caught up with things around here, I'll start making some cards and start posting again soon.

It's good to be home!
