Hi all. Another day, another nickel. Or is that another penny? Oh well. Today we in Florida must go to the polls and vote. I'm still not sure for whom I'll cast my vote, but I will cast one.
A friend and I will be going out to lunch after voting. We will definitely go to the Olive Garden. The last time we were there, we each received a $5.00 gift card to be used by the 31st, so tomorrow is it. Of course, we'll also check out Michael's and Joann's.
I recently told myself that I had quite a lot of images colored so it was time to make cards. I've had this one colored for awhile now, and couldn't figure out what to do with it. Alas, I checked out some of the "sketches" I'd saved to a folder and found one that works.
I imagine that all of us Red Hatter's picture us as looking like this chick. I don't even remember where I got this digital image, but I think it was from Australia.
Until next time, you all have a wonderful day and stay safe.

VALENTINE DAY (ALMOST)
Well here we are, just one more day and we are into February. I don't know where this month has gone. Time just seems to fly and there is never enough of it to do all the things we want. Oh, tomorrow????
We cut our RVing short by one day. Having no TV or phone is really, really hard. (LOL) The location was great and it was a busy park, but...
I did some Copic coloring while I was there and had decided that this week I was going to make some cards with what was already colored, but... my daughter sent me a You Tube link to "darleen003", and she made the cutest card ever. Once I saw it, I knew I had to make valentines for my granddaughters using her card as a sample.
Wouldn't you know that last week I had stopped at Michael's and purchased (among other things) three of there $1.00 stamps to use for Valentine's and they worked perfectly for one of the cards. The cards had to be 5"x7" in size so that I could use my stamps. Here's the first one.
My 10 year old Granddaughter will get this card. I made a similar one to send to another little girl who is very special.
Since the other Granddaughter will be 12 years old shortly, I figured she needed a card that was a little more "mature", so I made the following card for her.
I hope you all enjoy these two cards. Until next time, you all have a great day, a great week and stay safe.

SAND CRANES
Good evening, everyone. Just catching up with what's been happening. We went to Busch Garden's last Wednesday and what a time we had. The music was just fantastic. The Terry Meyers Orchestra performed; mostly Benny Goodman songs. The "grand finale" was Sing, Sing, Sing and it was beyond words wonderful. Next week is the Glenn Miller Orchestra and we're really looking forward to that one.
We are RVing this weekend and for the next few days. Can you believe that I forgot my cell phone? And what's even more unbelievable, we don't even have TV to watch. No cable hookup here and the antenna on the RV is glued down. Hmmmm. Sure is different.
Anyway, we are in Clerbrook RV Resort and Golf Community and are sitting right on the green. We get to watch all the golfers as the day goes by and there is a clubhouse with swimming pool just across the way. There are also loads of Sand Cranes hanging out on the golf course.
They are really beautiful birds. The yellow color you see on the above picture is a reflection from the sun, not the actual color of the bird. That's it for now. Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe.

FRIENDS ARE THE FLOWERS OF LIFE
Hi folks. It's been awhile since I last posted. I guess you could say I'm inconsistent.
Recently there was a blog hop featuring Tiddly Inks stamps and a theme of Friends Are The Flowers of Life. I really, really wanted to participate but... first, I wasn't sure if I was eligible and secondly, I didn't know how to "link" it up. Needless to say, it didn't happen. But it WILL sometime, I promise. (The promise is to me, by the way.) I did, however, download a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks and I made the card today. I really like the way it come out.
I attended a Copic coloring class taught by Wendy Ramlakhan (Sugar Pea Designs) on Saturday. Among other techniques, she taught us how to highlight clothing. She's an awesome instructor and I've learned so much from her.
Wednesday, we're off the Busch Gardens. The "Real Music Series" starts this week and we'll be seeing the Terry Meyers Band. Next week it will be the Glenn Miller Band with the Diamonds. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Osmond Brothers, Tony Orlando and Frankie Avalon, among others. I'll let you know how the music was.
That's it for this evening. Have a great week and stay safe.

A NEW YEAR
Well folks, here we are at the beginning of 2012. Can you believe it? I hope you all had an enjoyable New Years Eve. I know we did. Went to a friends house to see the New Year in and learned a very fun board game called "sequence". Even my hubby enjoyed playing and playing games is really not his "thing".
We got all of the Christmas decorations put away, the glitter and such has been vacuumed up and I even got extra ambitious today and washed the kitchen floor. (You might have guessed that cleaning isn't my favorite thing.)
We "warehouse" shopped this morning and then went out to lunch. As we were leaving the restaurant, my hubby said he thought he had an absessed tooth. It happened all of a sudden. So... off we went to the dentist who took xrays and a CT scan (sp?), and found no absess but did find a clogged gland. I think it's one of the saliva glands. He's now on antibiotics and, because of the swelling, he reminds me of a chipmunk. Just one side though (lol).
I've been enjoying all of the blogs that I subscribe to and have found a couple of cards that I just had to make. And because they are tri-fold, I want to share them with my card-making group. So I'll be showing them how on Thursday. Here's the first card we're going to make. I liked it so well that I sent one to my daughter and son-in-law for their anniversary.
I wish I could have matched the color of the flower that I colored with copic markers closer, but... this was the best I could do. Here's a picture of the inside.
The second card was really fun to make, too. I used the Viva Pearl Pen to decorate the flap.
This is the inside, or at least what you can see of it.
I thought this was sort of masculine. I used the Stampin' Up "The Ocean Sea" stamp set and their coordinating designer paper.
That's it for today. You all stay safe and keep warm. We're supposed to have a deep freeze here tonight.
